Henry, Pierre - Art Of Sounds, The
Toimitusaika: Noin 7 - 14 arkipäivää
In the fifties, Pierre Henry provoked a scandal by inventing musique concrète with Pierre Schaeffer. Rather than being written with notes on a score for instrumentalists, Musique concrète was based on sounds and noises from our environment, collected, edited and transformed by machines. A radical innovator, he composed several 'hit' pieces which can be thought of as the defining examples of that particular musical style: Symphonie pour un homme seul, Messe pour le temps présent, Dixième Remix.
Henry's latest works show him to be a tireless explorer of the musical connotations of unexpected places which range from the intimacy of his home to vast outdoor spaces.
In Pierre Henry ou l'art des sons, we follow the inspirational composer on a fascinating journey through forty years of pioneering music making.
